(Probably best if this were in the Sims 3 Board, since it covers a Sims 3 tool).
I agree with you on the world creator, though luckily they released a patch to the game to allow placement of lots in existing worlds (also hard to use properly, but better than not being able to do so).
I downloaded the world editor back a few months, and since the first day I haven't used it. I liked the Sims 2 world creator, which allows you to import a SimCity 4 region, though you'd be stuck without a copy of SimCity to create one with. The terraforming and road placement was easy there, as were the lot placements! The developers should think about drawing from those controls.

Yeah, but the thing is though that its just a beta and controlabilty might come around someday. But sadly I disagree with you saying that the new lot placement is difficult to use because I made a fabulous beach house on well the beach that was really good. I also like the new decking...

Have you figured out how to free rotate the lots then? Because I can never get them to line up properly

Ye it's really simple! But it all depends on how your controls are set up because I have customised mine.

Yeah on my computer I use the < and > to rotate stuff... I think that this is normal... that is what I use to rotate plots for lots. I'm a poet and I didn't know it... lol

Yeah on my computer I use the < and > to rotate stuff... I think that this is normal... that is what I use to rotate plots for lots. I'm a poet and I didn't know it... lol I think you misunderstand. I'm able to do that, but that's only at set angle increments. It never lines up perfectly
